We have purchased insurance, homeowners, personal liability, life and auto, from University insurance beginning in 1998. Harvey Eveleigh, proprietor, has been helpful and supportive during these years, frequent reviews of our policies and most years the premiums have come with reasonable increases until this policy year when homeowners increased by nearly 25% and Auto by 13%. This review is prompted not by Harvey but by the arrogant and rude exchange with his support person.....in their office on Friday, September 22nd, 2023. During the 30 minutes, or so, that I sat in Harvey's office and he discussed the increases and our interest in obtaining quotes from other insurers, Annie J. Johnson interrupted Harvey at least 7 times, causing him to raise his hand and constantly say...."Annie, Annie....." until she stopped interrupting. Constant comments from her that had to include her opinions, her insistence......even criticizing the method we used to determine the amount of the increases and the % of those increases. I finally told her to stop interrupting and then I decided to tell her to finish her comments, interruptions and then I would ask Harvey questions or offer comments. That didn't stop her and Harvey returned to saying...."Annie, Annie...." until she stopped interrupting......for just a moment or two before she began again. I finally stood up from the chair and said no more, that's it, I have had enough. I told her and Harvey that she was rude, constantly interrupting, caustic in her comments. I walked toward the door and told Harvey we were moving our policies and Annie Johnson needs to change her ways......immediate customer service training.....posthaste. I told them I was preparing this review and she shot back, 'well, I have recorded this conversation and I will respond to your Google review'. 25 years as a customer/policy holder with University Insurance and 1 person......was enough to put the nail in the coffin. Good luck to all those University insurance policy holders that are put in a position to deal with Annie Johnson and I feel sorry for Harvey having to work with her.
