Oh my goodness where do I begin. Minister Hanes is a Godly man, he worked with me on my brother sudden passing. This was my very first time ever having to do this and the Minister walked me through this step by step. God definitely had a hand in our meeting, I don't live in Durham but my family is originally from Durham. I told my husband without a doubt I would totally invest in remodeling Minister Hanes funeral home should we ever come into monies to do so. May God Continue to Richly Bless You & Your Family Sir, I truly appreciate you.

Please don’t trust your love ones with Hanes Funeral Home of Durham NC they did a very awful job with my love one and Rev Hanes was very nasty about the situation nothing they did was right and they did not try to correct the situation. Once Rev Hanes get your money he doesn’t care she stated that during our conversation. To be a Rev he’s very disrespectful and I will continue to pray for people like him for one God don’t like ugly.

A difficult time was made nearly unbearable with the unprofessional service my loved one received. The body was not ready to view until the day of the service allowing no time for changes and changes were definitely needed. The makeup, hair, and casket were all wrong. The burial was undignified no tent no chairs and the vault was carried across the graveyard swinging like an amusement ride. After getting my thoughts together I gave the Reverend a call to make him aware of my dissatisfaction only to be told that his business has 5 stars and my one complain would not change that. Needless to say I would never ever refer this business even if was the last funeral home available. I have never seen such unprofessionalism in my life. And I’ve witness a many funerals. All I can say is let God handle all things too big for me.

The staff was nice but what I did not like was one of the staff members listening to music through his headphones(it was so loud I could hear the music) and singing while the preacher was preaching during my uncle's funeral. This was very disrespectful and this should never happen again. I did inform the owner( the man who picture shows up on their web page) during the service and he ignored me.
